The laws had several ambiguities and areas for improvement which would better reflect the needs of our growing amateur rocketry community and provide for clarity and safety at all points. Many of the ideas were with regards to fees, transportation issues and the different licensing classes of pyrotechnic operators for rocketry. The RRS, FAR and ROC were glad to have the opportunity to speak frankly and give the state reasonable ideas that would preserve the freedoms in our hobby while keeping only responsible measures for assuring public safety as is required by CSFM. CSFM will report their findings back to the home office in Sacramento and begin to discuss the next steps to amend the legislation governing amateur rocketry.

We had several people make their first visit launch at FAR yesterday. Here Andre Doumitt and his daugher Sophie with their Estes rocket. Students from two schools already far along of the building of their entry were able to complete their projects by dividing up sub-assemblies for students to take home and complete. Because many students after spending the year on the construction will be leaving school to pursue their engineering carreers, we are allowing those teams ready to launch to do so. The results will be announced after all teams competing have launched December? Activities at FAR on June 6,

UC Berkeley Nov 3 FAR launch mojaverockets Published on Nov 15, After 4 weeks of intense composite manufacturing research and development, the team successfully launched its 7. The primary purpose of this launch was to validate advance composite manufacturing practices that will transfer into the team's space-shot rocket, EUREKA Unfortunately, at apogee, both CO2 and black powder ejection systems failed to deploy the chute causing the rocket to freefall down to the ground. Inspecting the rocket after flight, the team found that the deployment issue was due to shear pin failure on the nosecone-mainbody connection. FAR serves individuals and teams who seek a place to do develop and test engines, test fly rockets, test and fly avionic systems, or most anything related to rocketry. Our facility in the Mojave Desert has launchers for everything from hobby store model rockets all the way to rockets weighing more than 1, pounds. Our static test stands allow you to mount an engine, or an entire rocket, and fire the motor before attempting a flight. Whether it's a rocket powered by a commercially manufactured solid propellant motor, an experimental propellant you made, or a complex liquid propellant rocket, all are welcome! If you want a place to do tests legally and safely, or just fly some rockets, we are here to help!

Hyjal in Cataclysm you might just want to go to Dalaran, teleport straight to TB and fly north.
